Final Fantasy XVI

Final Fantasy XVI was announced by Sony at a game conference last month. It’s going to be another online game console exclusive made by Square Enix for PS3 and a version on pc which has stated for a 2010 release. Final Fantasy XIII is also being released in the same year on PS3. Well looks like I wont be seeing the sky in 2010…

Square Enix promise’s the fans a return to their classic genre of game, medieval fantasy for those of you who don’t know. The most recent game to be released (if you don’t count the re-releases of the FF classics) was probably final fantasy IX which was back in 2001.

SE have got a successful online game already out on PC, PS2 and XBOX 360. Final Fantasy XI which I play on and off these days. But when I first got the game in 2005 I was playing non stop day and night like a nocturnal zombie person. Well I was only zombie like in the daytime when I wasn’t sleeping off a long night of partying in the dunes lol!!! But what I love the most about this game is the community I have met many great friends on this game. I would hate to lose touch with them if I moved to this new game. I want to play this game so badly so I may have to leave FFXI for a while. I’ll miss all my sexy elvaaans :( and my tasty Taru friends!!!

I think many fans will be a little daunted by the money side of things. Another monthly subscription charging game and Final Fantasy XIII to boot means a lot of empty pockets. And like with any other game the time loss will be another dent in the world’s population lol!!!
